Enterprise, Learning and Outreach Centre
The Enterprise, Learning and Outreach Centre at Buccleuch House is a community space where you can connect, learn, be informed, and feel supported.
We aim to promote and encourage the Scottish Borders ‘Six Ways to be Well’ especially creating opportunities for people to ‘belong’ and ‘enjoy and learn’. Sessions run by the team are created to be inclusive to all, whatever your age and experience level.
The fully equipped centre aims to harness the power of digital connectivity…. a safe and easy way to access webinars or virtual meetings with Borders College, Citizen’s Advice, the Job Centre, your solicitor, or appointments using NHS Near Me.
History & development of buccleuch house VIEW PROGRAMME OF EVENTS & ActivitiesThe Community Outreach Team is here to offer support and find ways to improve the mental health and wellbeing of everyone in the community.
Many things affect our wellbeing, such as where we live, how we spend our time, our financial situation and our relationships with friends and family. Sometimes we find ourselves in challenging situations; physically, financially and emotionally, and we need extra support.
The Community Outreach Team wants you to feel supported, valued and equipped to improve your own well-being.
We are here to listen, identify the challenges you face, offer personalised support and help you find the right advice. This may lead to some further one-to-one support, connection with others in the community or an introduction to another group or organisation.
Are you applying for a job and need help updating your CV? Completing paperwork? Trying to access help with fuel costs? Feeling isolated? Struggling with low mood? Looking at future career and training options?
Whatever the ‘need’, please get in touch. We are here to help find a personalised solution and be your advocate.

The Community Outreach Team has access to the multi-agency services across the Borders, including Citizens Advice, Local Area Co-ordination (LAC), Salvation Army, Red Cross and NHS Wellbeing Service. If we do not have the knowledge or expertise, we can make sure you find the help you need.

You can also book the centre to host an event.
Along with our hub we also have a 14-bed bunkhouse upstairs! The Hub is extremely well equipped and can easily host company workshops or training days. It could be a registration centre to manage a local outdoor event, or even a crafting weekend with workshops. Each room has interactive facilities which can also be made available if required. We can even sort your catering.
We are happy to work with you to make sure your event is successful, please give us a call.
