A month-long series of event this year…………
Entries for the show closed on Saturday 3rd August. We would like to thank the many who have taken the time to enter. Without you and the many who contribute either in sponsorship, advertise, trade stand space, craft table, membership badge or coming on the day, we can’t continue to make the show what it is today! You can st
ill enter in Sheep, Ponies, Dogs and Small Pets although your name will not be added into the catalogue. Some Ponies and all Dog classes can be entered on the day.
Saturday 10th August Hill Race, Fun Run and Walk. This takes place on Sorbietress Farm, Newcastleton. In conjunction with Teviotdale Harriers. Registration starts 11.30 am. We have new walker’s section 6km or 2km walk taking in some of Liddesdale outstanding views. Walkers start 11.30am – 12.30pm. This is followed by the Junior/Fun run starts 12.30pm, 2km Under 8yrs to be accompanied by an adult. At 1pm 6km Hill Race. Junior (14-20), Senior (21-39), Veteran (40), Veteran (50), Veteran (60), Veteran (70). 6km – £4 per person. 2km – £2 per person. Have a well-deserved refreshment at the end of each section. Tray bake from Olive Tree, Newcastleton. Medals, Trophies and prizes for the winners.Spectators are welcome.
Saturday 17th August ‘Supper Dance’. Come and dance the night away with Ian Anderson’s band. Supper is supplied by Copshaw Catering. Bring you own bottle. Raffle. Tickets £12.
Sunday 26th August – The committee start to discuss what goes where! We are always looking for volunteers to help with momentous task.
Saturday 31st August ‘Show Day’. We have loads going on from things to try, see and look at. More details on the show day will follow in press, social media and website.
Saturday 31st August ‘Evening Entertainment’ 3rivercities are a lively Cumbria band covering many modern live music with a disco as well. Tickets are £10.
