Innov8 Newcastleton Youth Project
Innov8 Newcastleton Youth Project delivers twice weekly drop-in sessions targeting young people aged 11-18 in the Newcastleton area.
Every Tuesday and Friday evening from 5:30pm until 7:30pm providing young people with a safe, non-judgemental space in which they can voluntarily choose to get involved in planned activities, game with friends, chat to trusted adults and socialise with peers.
Providing young people with a space to go we aim to reduce antisocial behaviour and risk taking by providing young people with new opportunities and experiences; removing barriers to participation and supporting local families.

Newcastleton Play Area – Coming Autumn 2024!
In September and October 2023, Scottish Borders Council undertook play area consultation in Newcastleton, with the support of Newcastleton Community Trust and Newcastleton Community Council.
An online consultation ran alongside engagement sessions, which took place at Newcastleton Primary School, The Little Explorers Group at Buccleuch House and Newcastleton Youth Club.
There were a total of 107 responses to the consultation.
Community feedback
Feedback from the community has been used to create a new play area design. The design includes a range of equipment for all ages and abilities, including a ‘bespoke’ multi play train unit, a wheelchair accessible roundabout and a range of sensory play panels.
The play area will also benefit from new perimeter fencing, which came out as a key priority for parents with younger children.
Timescale
Work has now been completed- see invitation below for information regarding the park reopening.
