Newcastleton has a number of community led groups covering a variety of interests, with a warm and friendly welcome from all.

Innov8 Newcastleton Youth Project delivers a weekly drop-in session targeting young people aged 11-18 in the Newcastleton area. Every Tuesday evening from 5pm until 7pm .

Known locally as LLAGS, we were formed in 1971 by a group of young women in the village of Newcastleton who wanted ‘to make a difference’. They certainly have!

Providing a Car Scheme, gentle seated exercise class, social club and coach trips.

COGS also provide a weekly exercise class every Friday morning in the Community Room behind the doctors 10.30 to 11.30, blather and cuppa after. This is open to anyone over 50 you do not have to attend every session, come when suits you.

Newcastleton Community First Responders are a group of volunteers set up 12 years ago, who are trained in basic life support. They work on behalf of the Scottish Ambulance Service providing Life Saving treatment to patients in Newcastleton.

Copshaw Common riding is held annually and for 2022 it is on Saturday 2nd July 2022. It runs on the same weekend as Newcastleton Traditional Music Festival. So, get your bike out and join in.
A guaranteed day of fun and laughter is assured!

In the afternoon the committee hosts an afternoon of activities for families at the Polysport. Proceeds raised from the day are used to provide events locally for the community.
