Support and signposting for help if you need help on anything but mostly a hive of of activities to participate in from craft making to lectures.  Check out the events page there is something for all ages and it changes frequently.

The Centre at Buccleuch House is a community space where you can connect, learn, be informed, and feel supported.

We promote and encourage the Scottish Borders ‘Six Ways to be Well’  creating opportunities for people to ‘belong’, ‘enjoy and learn’. Activities are run by the community team lead by Rachel, Lynsey and Michelle, with help from volunteers and others members of staff during sessions that are in demand!

Whatever your age and experience level we try to provide something for everyone to enjoy.  Some are paid for and some are free.  We can only provide free access if this is funded and much of the paid for activity is heavily subsidised.  We will continue to do this as long as funds allow and welcome any donations to help support this program.

The centre is fully equipped so we can help if you need to be digitally connected…. it is a safe and easy way to access webinars or virtual meetings with Borders College, Citizen’s Advice, the Job Centre, your solicitor, or appointments using NHS Near Me.  Get in touch.

The Community Team is here to offer support and find ways to improve the mental health and wellbeing of everyone in the community.

Many things affect our wellbeing, such as where we live, how we spend our time, our financial situation and our relationships with friends and family. Sometimes we find ourselves in challenging situations; physically, financially and emotionally, and we need extra support.

The Community Team wants you to feel supported, valued and equipped to improve your own well-being.

We are here to listen, help with any challenges you face, offer personalised support and help you find the right advice. This may lead to some further one-to-one support, connection with others in the community or an introduction to another group or organisation.

Are you applying for a job and need help updating your CV? Completing paperwork? Trying to access help with fuel costs? Feeling isolated? Struggling with low mood? Looking at future career and training options?

Whatever the ‘need’, please get in touch. We are here to help find a personalised solution and be your advocate.

The Community Outreach Team has access to the multi-agency services across the Borders, including Citizens Advice, Local Area Co-ordination (LAC), Salvation Army, Red Cross and NHS Wellbeing Service. If we do not have the knowledge or expertise, we can make sure you find the help you need.

We can even sort your catering.
