Newcastleton is the centre of an area which includes Whitrope, Hermitage, Caulside, Bailey, Penton, Roadhead & Bewcastle.

Who should I see?
Our GPs are Dr Howard Kennedy and Dr Jennifer Bowley. They both have additional skills in minor surgery and joint injections.

Practice Nurse Paula Downey generally works on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and is fully trained in a wide range of skills including blood tests, ECGs, long term condition reviews, cervical screening, immunisations, wound management and ear irrigation. She is also able to offer advice on health promotion such as smoking cessation and obesity.

Pharmacist Prescriber Elizabeth Kennedy can provide advice and support with medications, and has a special interest in the management of asthma and COPD. Patients can attend clinics with Mrs Kennedy for asthma and COPD reviews, but should see a doctor if they are acutely unwell.

Prescription requests
We are a dispensing practice – when you request your medication, we order it, and double check it before providing it to you. Please allow 5 working days for us to get your medication ready. Please do not phone for repeat prescriptions before 10am.
