Polysport is a valuable part of our community which has been running for nearly 20 years. The project was started and has been maintained through fundraising and the support of our community. We have kept the membership fees low, but are making a small increase this year. Running costs each year include insurance (£1600), electricity, upkeep and maintenance of the Astroturf pitch and the gym. Income for Polysport has been reduced since the football team stopped using the facilities and regular activities such as tennis are less well attended.
We would also love to increase what we can offer at Polysport and are looking for ideas e.g. 5-a-side football, netball, basketball. The changing rooms are not currently used by a team so could have a new purpose to make best use of the space we have. Ideas for alternative uses are welcome. Please email any ideas or use the post box. If you would consider getting involved, it would be great to have some new committee members or volunteers to help develop the facility.
Annual membership fees run for a calendar year from 1st Jan 2019 and allow unlimited play for the year, use of changing facilities, fitness equipment and access to coaching sessions which may involve an additional charge.
Fitness Gym
Membership:
£120 (or £10 monthly) Plus £10 deposit for keys. The fee covers all usage for a year. Over 16 ONLY

- Weights Machine
Fitness Room is to be used at your own risk. Over 16s only. Available 24 hours a day. Access via key (£10 deposit). You need to become a fitness member to use the facilities and also undertake an induction course on how to use the equipment before you are allowed to use the fitness room. A weekly timetable is on the booking board, which is beside the Astro pitch. One hour bookings can be made.
Floodlights are operated by tokens and cost £2.00 (available at Costcutter). Please shut the electric box after use.
Shoes MUST be clean. If possible please bring a change of CLEAN shoes with you when coming to play and change into them before going onto the pitch. Flat or pimple-soled sports shoes only. No studs or spikes. No climbing on the kick boards or fences. No footballs to be kicked against the mesh. Football maximum size 4. Please put all rubbish in the bins. No food to be eaten on the pitch (including chewing gum)
Visitors are welcome to use the pitch . Cost- £10 per hour. Tennis rackets and balls are available (phone or e-mail in advance please)
