Our Christmas elves and Mrs Santa have been busy behind the scenes crafting, baking, staging, singing and performing.  2020 Copshaw Christmas Cheer Festival was staged in the village church (under Covid guidelines) directed by Claire Musson.  It was designed to showcase the creative works of all our young people, virtual choir and crafters providing a safe festive environment to share with others.

It was well supported and much enjoyed but it wasn’t the only element of #Copshaw Christmas Cheer;

Liddesdale Ladies Amenity Group excelled with the nativity in Douglas Square, a beautiful display set in the heart of our community, a place to stop take a breathe and enjoy the Christmas lights which adorn our centre.

We thank the army of volunteers who continue to give their time to help deliver these amazing programs.

Special mention goes to Sarah Laing, who produced hundreds of delicacies as special Christmas fayre to go in our senior’s goody bags.

Jars and jars were crammed full of ingredients for our young people to bake cookies and shortbreads for themselves and their friends.

And our children were able to see Santa – at a safe distance.  Massive efforts, from lots of people.

From our Holm to yours, we wish you all a safe and Happy Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
