About the Trust 

The Sir Arthur Eliott Memorial Trust was established in 1991 in memory of the late Sir Arthur Eliott, Chief of Clan Elliot who lived at Redheugh, Newcastleton.

The purposes of the Trust

Are to benefit the inhabitants of Liddesdale; to advance education, provide facilities in the interests of social welfare and to improve quality of life within the community of the Parish of Newcastleton and the Liddesdale area.  The intention is to provide annual grants enabling successful candidates to carry out individual ambitions or community projects that lie within the ‘purposes’ defined above.   This may be either in the UK or outwith.

The Trustees will be pleased to look at any suggestions that benefit a resident or residents of Liddesdale.

Applications are invited by 30th July 2021 for grants in relation to courses or projects starting September 2021.    The Trustees will decide, at their absolute discretion, which Grants will be awarded.
